Sounds pretty guilty in that interview.

I doubt many even believed it or cared before she spoke

End of? Do you honestly think that would've been the end of it?

She gives that statement - people moan that she's not saying enough
She gives a long statement - protesting too loudly
Gives out full blood data - people cherry pick that bits that, taken out of context, look suspicious
Doesn't give out full blood data - something to hide

Re: Paula Radcliffe.
She's released her blood results to Sky news as well as some interesting reasons why the blood values are anomalous:
http://news.sky.com/story/1550226/blood-tests-that-cleared-paula-radcliffe

No mention of her haematocrit levels disappointingly. She's messed this right up, the fucking nutbag.

So? As i said, all she had to say was "Nothing to defend. But if I am named outside of Parliament then i will take him to court. End of".

Surely uninformed opinion expressed as 100% certain fact is the foundation upon which this whole forum is built?

Re: Paula Radcliffe.
Testing in Athletics is a joke, and there is certainly a double standard with regard to the people who the authorities want to catch and those they give as much leeway as they can get away with (Farah springs to mind) or even try to play down the negative publicity once they are forced to discipline them (Ohoruogo). That's not saying those people have definitely cheated, but they are demonstrably treated differently. It's not difficult to see that Radcliffe could fall into that category too.

Who knows, really.I have been thinking for a while that Athletics feel like it is going to be the next cycling - it will eventually get to the point where pretty much no one will believe any competitor is clean. Certainly 'if there was anything wrong with my tests, there are many other things that could explain it' isn't the best defence I've ever heard.

The problem is having a test that is up to date with the latest doping methods.

Naturally Horse racing is as clean as a whistle. It is after all the sport of Kings which means that there is no chance of any chicanery.

Re: Paula Radcliffe.
What is the testing regime in NFL?
Am sure it used to be a couple of week ban for steroids at one point and you had three or four chances to reoffend until anything was done of any serious nature.
Has that changed?

Re: Paula Radcliffe.
Should follow Horse Racing rule... test, test, test and keep testing... that's in the yard and on the course... no appointments just turn up unnanounced ... only way you can even think about a clean sport

As a rule of thumb I tend to look at the sports that Americans are doing well in if I want to know where the drugs are.

I'd say cycling is cleaner than swimming, athletics and tennis right now due to years of the UCI slowly get to grips with the problem. The other sports governing bodies seem oblivious to the problems their sports have at the moment.

He talked about winners of the London Marathon including British athletes

Paula Radcliffe is the only British winner since the mid 90's.

OK he did say her name but there was only ONE person he could have meant

Like others have said I bet the bloke hasn't the bollocks to repeat it outside of his protective bubble.

Comma... it was more his coach and training partner ... nothing has been chucked at Mo's way ... people got the hump as he pulled out of a couple of diamond meetings due to the press stories about his coach etc

What I find interesting is that recently Mo Farah was been cast on here as a drugs cheat and now it seems he is a model of athletic probity.

zebthecat 10:30 Thu Sep 10
Re: Paula Radcliffe.
Data release won't help one little bit as those who want to snipe will cherry pick a couple of outlier data points and shout "CHEAT" just as they did with Chris Froome.

Sven Roeder 10:27 Thu Sep 10
Re: Paula Radcliffe.
I would hesitate to call her reaction 'over sensitive'.

Some jumped up MP is saying her entire career and life achievement is a fraud based on cheating.
I might get a bit worked up about that.
